| Kasperskey lab paid it's attention to increasing threats to smartphones, which has increased during 2011 in comparision to last 5years. The company also provides some tips to protect your smartphone against these attacks.  When we listen that cyber criminals are working on some method of getting into your smartphones then it would be a big surprise for many of the readers. But, if wee look at these three accounts then the statement becomes quite likely. In 2011 Kasperskey lab found maximum no. of malwares for mobiles then found in last 5 years. Secondly, general direction of attack changed. Hackers don't wants the money only, they are looking for information. Attack on SONY, RSA and military bases have made this very clear. Although these attacks were made on coputers, but we can assume mobile cybercriminal to do this attacks on aimes smartphones. Thirs is that sales of smartphones is still invreasing and no one can imagine their life without these gadgets. In office, on vacations or at home, you need them everywhere for corporate and private use. Smartphones contains many of confidential informations of a user but we are still less eager of smartphone's security in comparision to our laptops and computers.So it can become an easy target for the attackers. You can follow these steps t minimise your risk: 1. Avoid using public wi-fi. 2. Always keep an eye on your device. 3. You should add encryption and remote delation software to your smartphone. 4. Regularly update your OS and other third party softwares. 5. Ignore all spam messages. Thank you !! |
