Apple iOS vs Google android
Do you like this Story?
| There are lots of metrics you can use to compare the two platforms, with new factoids arriving daily--some of them direct from Apple and Google, but more from research firms and other third parties. Here are some competitive numbers to see if considering all of them at once helped to clarify the situation. ![]() Total devices in field: CEO of apple Tim Cook said that we have sold 250 million iOS products till october including iPhone, iPod and iPad and according to google CEO Larry Page, 190 million android products are activated. New devices daily selling: Apple is selling 367,000 iOS devices per day whereas android sold half-million products daily. Both figures are significantly different . Total smartphone ownership: Comscore says that as of august, 43% of smartphone users in US have android product and only 27% have iPhone(excluding iPads and iPods) Tablets: iPad has 66% of tablet market and android tabs have grown 27%. But Kevin Tofel of GigaOM noted, that mixes iPads with android tabs that have been shipped by manufacturer but may not be bought to consumer. If any of those android are still in stores, they shoudn’t be compared to iPad that people have paid for. Available apps: Apple have more than 500,000 apps including 140,000 apps designed for iPad and there are 250,000 apss available of android. App download: Android overtook iOS in app downloads and has 44% share in whole world where iOS has only 31%. On other side iOS beats android in terms of download per user. iOS user download double apps then an android user. Ultimately It’s your choice what you want but in my opinion one should go with Apple products rather than Google’s. Better platform and best user interface. |
